These images illustrate the the kinds of fractals that you can easily create using the Fractal Odyssey software. These 10 images are from the 44 sample files that come with the Fractal Odyssey and Fractal Viewer software. Click a link to view an image.

 

Each of the fractal images is offered in two file sizes. The smaller file is a half-size image (361 x 261 pixels); image quality is not as good as that of the full-size image but download times are shorter. The larger file is a full-size image (901 x 651 pixels); image quality is much better, but download times are longer.

 

If you are concerned about possible long download times, start with the "Mandelbrot" fractal as it is the smallest. You can gage download times for the other fractals from that required for the "Mandelbrot" fractal.

 

These example fractals use a compressed file format to minimize download times. As a result, image quality - even that of the full-size fractal images - is not as good as the quality of the images directly generated by Fractal Odyssey or Fractal Viewer.
