The Fractal Viewer software recreates the fractal images and movies defined in Fractal Odyssey files. Because Fractal Odyssey files are so tiny (<1 KB), they are lightning fast to send via e-mail. Fractal Viewer is the best way to share your fractals with your friends, and it is free!

If your friends don't have Fractal Odyssey, have them download Fractal Viewer. When you want to show your friends your fractals, just e-mail them your Fractal Odyssey file. Your friends can then recreate your fractal images and fractal animation without any long download times and without any loss of image quality.

The Fractal Viewer software comes with 44 sample Fractal Odyssey files, each defining a fantastic fractal image and a mesmerizing fractal movie.

Fractal Viewer cannot create new fractals; only Fractal Odyssey can create new fractal images and movies.

System Requirements:

Fractal Viewer has the following system requirements:

• Operating System: Any version of the following Microsoft ® operating systems: Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP (and later).

• Browser: Microsoft ® Internet Explorer 5.01 or later only needs to be present - it does not need to be your default browser.

• Memory: 128 MB of RAM is the required minimum.

The Fractal Viewer software and the 44 sample files will be downloaded as a single, compressed file (5,724 KB). Save the file to your hard drive - location is not important. After the file has downloaded, just double-click the file to start the installation of the fractal software and sample files.

Installation requires that the Microsoft ® Windows Installer application be present on your computer. It is very likely that your computer already has Windows Installer.  However, if installation of the fractal software does not start when you double-click the downloaded file, then you also need to download the Windows Installer application (also free):

Windows XP includes Windows Installer.
